Chartered on 30 April 1996, the Rotary Club of Makati Urdaneta is a member of Rotary International in District 3830, Philippines, and is composed of dedicated and hard-working business and professional men and women who are bound by the common goals of friendship and service. With the RI motto "Service Above Self " as its motivation, the club has rendered effective service to the community, particularly the less-fortunate, to make them productive individuals and strong partners in nation-building. The club also espouses ethical conduct in their personal, business and professional lives as a means to promoting international peace and world understanding.
RCMU has undertaken various service projects that help improve the quality of life of the less-privileged members of society. More particularly, the club has focused on giving basic quality education thru its literacy projects like adoption of schools, scholarship grants, donations of reading materials and computers to schools and libraries and has partnered itself with other public and private entities to further expand its scope of services as a means to help alleviate poverty.
Through the years, the club has also delivered basic health and wellness services, assisted the sick and the elderly, advocated the protection of the environment and the welfare & development of the youth thru leadership training and scholarships.
Although in need of additional funding and resources to pursue its service activities, the members of the Rotary Club of Makati Urdaneta have shown zealous commitment, whether as individuals or as a group, for their hearts bleed for the less-fortunate.
It seeks generous donors to contribute to its projects that have touched the lives of many people. The elderly. The sick and the dying. The out-of-school youth. The streetchildren. Depressed communities that need livelihood. Families that have no homes.
The club also seeks new generous and dedicated members who want to share fellowship with others in the pursuit of service to humanity.
The club meets every Wednesday, 12:00 noon, at the Tower Club, Philam Building, Paseo De Roxas, Makati City, and cordially invites other Rotarians and individuals to join them in their luncheon meetings, fellowships and other activities.
